Posters describing various political beliefs in the Middle Eastern region. The Lebanon poster (2013) conveys the negative influence of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on Lebanese citizens. My challenge was to accurately depict the perspective of Lebanese citizens while still maintaining a degree of neutrality. My goal was to show the equal responsibility shared by both Palestine and Israel in hindering the growth of Lebanon. This is achieved with the symmetry of the composition and the metaphor of the tree symbolizing Lebanon as well as its growth. The Israel poster (2012) advocates the disarmament of Iran’s nuclear weapons at a time when Iran was threatening to develop such weapons and publicly advocated wiping Israel off the map. It’s goal is to provoke its audience with its blatant symbolism and unrelenting biased message. It is first and foremost an exercise in propaganda.
